Three PEI Best Cottages rentals have verified pet-friendly policies: Sandhills Blue, Darnley Basin Wildflower and Stanley Bridge Sandhills. Choose among them using the location and sleeping layout, then tell Lisa about your dog in the first enquiry. A cottage's pet policy and a beach's rules are separate things.

The Summer House suites are adult-only and not pet friendly. Clinton's pet policy has not been confirmed in the current information, so ask Lisa rather than assuming it welcomes pets. That distinction can save you from building a trip around the wrong cottage.

Compare the dog-friendly cottage options

Sandhills Blue Cottage sleeps five in two bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a waterfront setting on New London Bay. Its pet-friendly policy makes it an option for a family or group travelling with a dog, provided the beds fit the people coming.

Stanley Bridge Sandhills Cottage sleeps four with a queen and two singles. It has a wraparound deck and large yard. Ask how outdoor use and any pet conditions work for your stay rather than assuming the yard is fenced.

Darnley Basin Wildflower Cottage sleeps six and specifically welcomes dogs off beds and furniture. Other pets are not permitted under its stated policy. Bring what your dog needs to settle comfortably without relying on the cottage furniture.

Check national park rules before the beach day

Parks Canada prohibits pets on all Prince Edward Island National Park beaches from April 1 through October 15 each year. Dogs are permitted in park picnic areas, campgrounds and on trails under the park's rules, including a leash no longer than three metres and picking up droppings. Check the current dog guidance when planning.

Service-animal accommodation has its own process, which Parks Canada links from that page. If it applies to your visit, use that guidance directly. The general pet rule should not be used as a substitute for checking the service-animal arrangements.

Those national park rules do not establish the policy at every other PEI beach. Check each place separately. Confirm the rules at your planned outing and for shared access at the cottage, because a pet-friendly rental does not grant permission to take a dog anywhere along the coast.

Plan the days when your dog cannot join you

Before booking an attraction or a beach outing, decide who will be with the dog and what the cottage permits. Ask Lisa about any conditions for leaving a dog at the property. Do not assume that an unattended pet, barking or furniture use is acceptable.

Pack a bed and bowls, along with leads and cleanup supplies. If you need a fenced area or a particular walking route, explain that requirement before confirming the cottage. None of the general pet-friendly descriptions guarantees an enclosed yard.

Put the pet details in the enquiry

Tell Lisa how many dogs are coming and which cottage you are considering. Ask about any restrictions or charges that apply, because the current information does not establish a single fee policy across all three rentals.

You can send your dates and pet questions together, then compare Lisa's answer with the outings you want to do. If the sleeping arrangement is still undecided, use the family cottage layout table to narrow the options before confirming.
